Sales Team
Originally from Murphy, NC, Malinda has lived in the Asheville area for 43 years and has been selling appliances for 18 of those years. She has many hobbies including renovating her house, kickboxing, trying out new recipes on family and friends, and serving as an usher at her church. She prides herself on being the Cliff Clavin of her trivia team as she always has what she calls "useless facts" at the ready. Her co-workers regularly taste test recipes for her and say she makes an award-winning bourbon Bundt cake.
Quick Fact: Put her in a car with her favorite music and she'll sing all day long!
Joe was raised in Greenfield, Iowa- a very small spec (his words, not ours) in the southwest part of the state. He has been selling appliances for 17 years and lived locally for 19. His knowledge extends beyond just selling appliances as he has also been involved on the service and installation side. When not at work, you can find him exploring the mountains, rivers, and trails, or hanging out with his three grandkids. Usually both. Another of his favorite past times is going for a leisurely ride on his Harley Davidson.
Quick Fact: He loves woodworking, whether it’s creating something new or rehabbing an old find.
In 2018, Dan moved to the area from Florida but was born and raised in Galesburg, IL. He’s been in the appliance business since 1981. First, with an appliance retailer, then a distributor and back to retail. This year, he celebrates his 43rd year in the business and has forgotten more about appliances than most people know! In his spare time, his favorite hobbies are watching baseball (he’s been a Chicago Cubs fan since he was a boy), playing golf and taking the occasional trip to the casino.
Quick Fact: Dan was nicknamed “Dano” in 1978 and it’s stuck with him ever since.
Brent grew up just down the road in Columbia, South Carolina. He’s lived in the area for 6 years but has been in appliance sales for over 30 years. His co-workers would say he loves joking around and appreciates finding common interests with his customers. Outside of work, Brent enjoys trying out all the fantastic local restaurants (and beer!) and spending time with his three dogs. But, what he enjoys most is spending time with his children and grandson.
Quick Fact: Brent spent 6 years active duty in the Navy and 10 years in the reserves. We appreciate his service!
Randi moved here 10 years ago from her hometown of Braselton, GA. She’s been in the appliance business for 8 years now and thoroughly enjoys learning about new products so she can keep her customers well informed. Spending time with her husband and daughter are her favorite things to do. They love to search out unknown swimming holes on the Blue Ridge Parkway and find new places to camp and hike. She also loves to crochet, paint with watercolors and cook large meals.
Quick Fact: Randi’s guilty pleasure is anything to do with Lord of the Rings!
Andree is new to the area, having only moved here 1 year ago. She is from St. Louis, MO and most recently lived in Arizona. Moving here to be closer to family, plus escaping the Arizona summers, has been a blessing. For 8 years now, she has enjoyed helping her customers select appliances to build their dream kitchens. On the weekends, she hikes and plays tennis or pickle ball. Andree also has a passion for travelling and supporting the Arts.
Quick Fact: She has a collection of percussion instruments and loves to play along to Latin-inspired music!
Shawna comes from Columbia, SC but has lived here for over 25 years. She has worked in several different roles in the appliance business for close to 20 years. Her favorite hobby is spending time with her family. She has two teenage daughters that like to drag her out shopping when they’re not locked in their rooms or glued to their phones. For adventure, she likes to ride in a car with her 16-year-old as the driver.
Quick Fact: Shawna loves 80’s and 90’s R&B music and thoroughly enjoys embarrassing her daughters by dancing and singing along.
Drew grew up just down the road in Johnson City, Tennessee. Before coming to Haywood Appliance, he was living in Northern Virginia (Washington, DC area) working for an appliance manufacturer. He missed being close to his parents and brothers (and the mountains!) so in May of 2024, he decided to move to Arden. He brings with him 25 years of industry experience. Moving back to the mountains has allowed him to get back to his favorite hobby of fly fishing. Drew also loves to cook and says his crawfish etouffee is famous among his friends!
Quick Fact: He’s an Eagle Scout!
Teresa has lived in Franklin, NC her whole life and in fact, is a 5th generation native. She’s been in the appliance industry for 22 years. Her role as a Builder Relations Representative consists of working with builders, architects and designers directly to educate them on appliances and help resolve issues. She thoroughly enjoys the relationships with her customers and loves the problem-solving part of the job. In her down time, Teresa likes to hike the local trails with her husband and two daughters. She finds the quiet atmosphere a perfect place to relax amidst God’s creation.
Quick Fact: Her dad is a car enthusiast so she has grown to have an appreciation for antique cars.
